A friend came over yesterday and brought a newspaper for the neighboring NY state area, which is only about 20 minutes from here.  There was a photo of pets for adoption at the local shelter.  Besides the expected long list of dogs and cats – there was the unexpected - FOUR bunnies at this shelter.

Not So Lovely

Oh yes, the lakes here are lovely.  There are five, all within a five to ten minute walk of the house.  The largest one is Rooke Lake – it’s the one with the beach, the boats, and the beavers.  In winter, I can see it from the living room windows.
